Fadiouth and its millet granaries on stilts

Fadiouth is one of the most picturesque villages in Senegal. One of its originalities are its millet granaries on stilts and, from a distance, these round straw huts are reminiscent of an ancient traditional African village. Originally they were used to protect crops from fires and rats. At their feet, you will discover the curious purple crabs with a single claw, which they use to dig the sand.
